Welcome To Pandora

Isn’t Pandora super cool?  Right when you walk into it the whole place starts to unfold!  There are lots of great places to grab a picture, look at some cool plants unique to the area and explore.   There is a fun bridge to walk along, a neat gift shop, places to eat, etc.  Here is our guide to Pandora and what you need to know.

The Rides

There are 2 rides in Pandora.  Each of them you can get a fast pass for them but if you don’t get it months in advance, plan on waiting in line.  Although the wait lines might be long, you can grab a yummy treat to enjoy while in line and have lots of cool scenery to look at.

1. Avatar Flight of Passage-  Must be 44inches or taller to ride.  If you want to feel like you are flying on a banshee this is the ride for you!  It seriously feels like you are riding on one.  You sit on a motorcycle like chair in front of a large screen.  Once you are locked in your chair,  the ride starts the screen starts to play a video as if you are riding a banshee.  The wind blows on your face, you can feel the banshee breathing between your legs and you dip and dive into Pandora.
2. Na’vi River Journey-  This ride is for all ages! It is really neat because its like you on the Rivers of Pandora at night.  Everything is glowing and you spot cool animals walking around, and even some Na’vi.  There wasn’t much of a plot to the ride, but very beautiful and neat to go on!

Wilderness Explorer Badges

If you are a Wilderness Explorer, there are two badges you can earn in Pandora.

1. Botany Badge-  Here you can learn about plants on our planet as well as on Pandora and how to help them.
2. Ecology Badge- This is where you will learn more about the relationship between plants, animals and their environment.

What To Eat

Head to Saut’li Canteen for the best meal ever!  Seriously it is so tasty!  The Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl is a must order ($11.49)!  The restaurant is quick dining but with real dishes and silverware.

The Bao Buns ($10.99) are fun to order but weren’t our favorite compared to the Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl.  I did really like the vegetable chips that came with the Bao Buns though.

The menu is neat because you can order a protein, base and sauce.  I love that you can customize your meal to your liking, and make fun combos!  To see the entire menu, click here.  Everything meal is $14.99 and under.

If you download the Disney World app, you can order your food in advance and have it ready for pick up to eat.

What To Drink

At Pongu Pongu they have a drink called the Night Blossom.  It is $5.99 and worth every penny!  We ended up getting 4 of these drinks and it wasn’t enough!  I wish we got more of them!

The Night Blossom is a non-alcholic mixture of limeade with apple and dessert pear flavors topped with passion fruit boba balls.  You can get it in a souvenir Mug with a glowing Unadelta Seed for $14.99.  I love the giant straw that it comes with so you can suck up the boba!

Snacks

If you can find the treat cart, that is where you will find this rice crispy treat vein pod! I don’t remember how much it cost, but it sure was tasty!  The outside is a white and milk chocolate combo.  The inside is rice crispy treat with a creme center.  It was the perfect treat to take around while waiting in lines.

Windtraders Gift Shop

If you want to get your own baby banshee to take home you can visit the Windtraders gift shop.  Getting a banshee is an entire experience of it’s own.  You and your banshee have to pick each other and find out if you are a good match!

There is lots of cool Avatar merchandise at the Windtraders like Na’vi ears, plush, anything you could imagine Avatar!  This is the place to get it!

Pandora At Night

For some reason, everything is cooler to me at night time!  Pandora is a whole diffrent place at night time so make sure to visit it not only during the day, but at night time too!  If you want some cool night photos, you can there is usually a Disney photographer by the waterfall taking photos.

Don’t forget to get a tasty Night Blossom drink at night at Pongu Pongu!  You can ask them to add a pod light to your drink for $3.00 or if you get the souvenir cup in addtion!
