MYSTIC MANOR AT HONG KONG DISNEYLAND

Mystic Manor is exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland.  It is the equivalent to the Haunted Mansion in the U.S. Disney parks but there are lots of differences that make it awesome!  This was our favorite ride at the Resort.  We rode it over and over to see the cute monkey Albert!

The exterior of the ride is awesome! It has a Russian vibe to it that we loved.  This ride has a fun light hearted feel.  Music was written by Danny Elfman and it is the cherry on top to the ride.  So GOOD!

RIDE LINE

The waiting line for the Mystic Manor is an attraction all in itself!  Here you get to see pictures of Albert the monkey and his parent Lord Henry Mystic on their adventures.  There is map lay outs, cool artifacts and other items from their home and travels.  I loved the monogram maroon wallpaper.

HOW THE RIDE WORKS

This ride is on a trackless system, which adds to the mystic feel.  It looks like the cars are floating around.  If you have been to California Adventure, it is similar to Lugui’s Car Ride.

INSIDE THE RIDE

Inside the ride you start off with Lord Henry Mystic and Albert looking at a music box.  You learn about the music box earlier in the waiting line before you hop on the ride.  Albert is advised to not touch the music box… but of course… he is a curious little monkey, he touches the music box.

When Albert touches the music box, everything in the room comes to life.  All of the ancient artifacts start moving, colors start to spread on the walls, and the car you are in starts spinning around.

One of the rooms in the Manor you enter turns ice cold!  We loved seeing the ice go on the glass and have an effect that the glass breaks!

Cute Albert appears throughout the ride trying to get things back the way they were before.

Ah poor Albert is pinned!  Don’t worry, he gets out of it!

EXITING THE RIDE

When exiting the ride, Lord Henry and Albert wave goodbye! We thought this was such a cute picture of them!  We were glad to see that despite Alberts curiosity, they are still able to continue on their adventures together!
